Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine being a Gifted student and not having a white board! Upon arrival to one of my schools, we did not even have a hole puncher for the students' Gifted work.
My students come from a low-income Title I school.
They are Gifted students and we have a shared section of the Science lab as the "Gifted space." They really need a white board for learning the Gifted concepts I teach. Our students are very bright but lack the resources they need for a proper Gifted learning environment.
My Project
These materials will improve Gifted instruction and help my students learn visual challenging Math concepts more effectively. Currently, the Gifted classes are located in a shared portion of a Science lab at one of the schools I teach at.
The students will be able to participate in whole group lessons and visually see what I am trying to teach them better with the white board. The 3 hole puncher will keep the students' Gifted work organized in Thier portfolios, and the rewards will motivate them to behave well in class.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by allowing our Gifted program to have a teaching white board that is functional in the small Science lab space we have.
The students will be able to see the lessons I am teaching and in turn- learn more effectively.
The 3 hole-puncher will help keep Thier work organized, and the reward items will help keep them motivated to complete thier challenging Gifted projects, and behave well in Gifted class.
