I am the 7th grade counselor. This is my second year with my students. I love getting to know them in 6th grade and then begin to build relationships with them in 7th and 8th. This year has meant less face to face time with us, but we have found ways to communicate. Middle schoolers are a unique bunch...that must be why I get along with them so well!
My Project
My students will use these materials to help them find ways to deal with the stresses of school and life. We always try to find ways to help them with what works. Many students find that actually putting down their device and actually writing about their goals, strengths and troubles help them focus on what they need to do to be successful.
Using the journals students will be able to list their goals.
They will be also be able to "brain dump" their anxieties. They will be able to share those with me or can keep them private.
Using the squeeze balls will help to release tension and get blood flowing.
