My Project
A big part of what Freshman deal with coming into a new school is the sense of Belonging. Part of their curriculum in Hawaii's DOE is BREATH-HĀ. "Belonging" is the first thing we address when welcoming in our Freshman. The PBL unit we teach at Aiea links reality with fantasy. Ultimately each student will create a character which belongs to a central "Universe." Students present to peers, faculty and experts their characters and trading cards are created for each one. Cards can be used to play games or be traded throughout the Academies!
