My Students

My class consists of 18 terrific third graders. Teaching third-graders is always an exciting adventure! Each and every single day my students pose new ideas, challenges, and problem-solving skills to enhance their learning as well as those around them. Our school strives to empower all students and my students often empower each other. Every child has talents and strengths that sometimes just needs a bit more encouragement to blossom. The students in my class care about one another as though we are family.

My Project

The numerous materials selected for this project will help my current and future students learn about the importance of a balanced financial account and practice skills closely related to those commonly found in the public. I selected a variety of age appropriate books that encourage saving, spending wisely and donating to various foundations. These books will pair well with the curriculum we've developed with a local credit union. The games selected, are some of the top rated financial literacy games for kids to learn and practice the skills learned in class.
