My Students

Life is a continuous cycle of learning.

My students are inquisitive, and they enjoy learning in unique ways. They take pride in being part of and taking care of our classroom. By the end of the year, I expect my students to teach more than I do and to enjoy being responsible, organized, independent, and love learning.

My students attend a Title I-funded school in an economically challenged area in California. However, that does not have to be a determining factor in education. My students are stereotyped as being less than other children in better neighborhoods; yet, I teach them to always fight the stereotypes and to rise above negative thoughts.

My Project

When conversating with my classes I have asked what subject do they need the most and they always mention their social emotional learning class. We would like to make vision boards to work on their social emotional needs and to help them find what they see in themselves.

It is very important that they understand what they want from life and have a goal to reach so that I can help them get to where they want and need to be while caring for them along the way.

We will use the poster boards to be the foundation of the vision boards. We will use the Cricut Maker to create the pictures, words, and design for the boards. We will use the ink and copy paper to print supporting items and we will use the scissors to cut items and the glue to help them adhere.
