Help me give my students hallway waiting activities that will help with transitions because it takes a while for all 20 students to use the restroom, and preschoolers need to move and engage!

My Project

My preschoolers are amazing little humans but it’s hard for them to be their best selves when they have to stand in the hall and wait for the other 19 children to finish in the bathroom.

Since we don’t have bathrooms in our rooms, we spend quite a bit of time taking bathroom breaks and waiting.

I want to turn this wait time into a joyful time where they can engage their senses to learn as they interact with items such as the Crocodile Activity Wall, which is a busy board, and the sequins sensory wall. These items will help them to regulate their bodies to be their best selves as they wait in the halls. With all of the transition time, I want to take advantage of every moment we have during this crucial developmental age.
