Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching for many years, you would be surprised at how many times you need emergency pants. My co-teacher has said that over the years she has given out over 500 pairs of emergency pants. This is not just something for little kids. Even at the high school level you would be surprised how many times students need a different pair of pants.
Some examples when having emergency pants are needed: a student that menstruates gets a stain, a student trips and falls and cuts their pants or gets blood on their pants, an accident during a science lab causes something to spill on a student's pants, a student has a bathroom accident, a student spills something on their pants during lunch, a student gets caught in the rain/snow and is absolutely soaked when they get to school, a robotics team member slices their pants during a competition, an athlete rips their pants, etc.
This project is requesting a few pairs of black jogger pants in a variety of sizes and styles for any human that needs them. When we are prepared as a school, our students can focus on learning, not on their damaged pants. Thank you so much for supporting our school and for helping us acquire a new stash of emergency pants.
