Help me give my students a choice in a new novel to read. We loved Ranson; however, it is no longer reprinted so this is our first choice.

My Project

My students will use this novel to develop a sense of characterization, theme, plot, and literary elements to help develop a life-like and relatable story. Students need to see themselves in literature to relate to the world. This will help my students have open conversations about things that may or may not have been heard from others. We are a Title I school. Most of our students do not have the means to books or experiences that relate outside of their world. I want them to experience things that may be unknown to them. Exposing students to things that are outside their comfort zone exposes them to questions that can be answered.
