What Good is a Vacuum that Won't Pick Up?

My Students

My students are a wonderful and exciting group of four and five-year-old boys and girls, in an ICT (integrated collaborative teaching) classroom. This means that 40% of my students are in special education, and the rest are in general education.

We are a Title I school and work hard to ensure that everyone learns and succeeds.

I want them to have everything they need and deserve to have to make their school year exciting and fun, as well as productive and successful throughout the entire year.

My Project

My little ones are at the carpet all day, every day. It is crucial that we keep the carpet as clean as possible for them. Every morning, I vacuum the carpet. Well, low and behold, the vacuum cleaner doesn't work right anymore. Now, we are stuck with a dirty, icky carpet until we can replace the vacuum with a new one.

Can you imagine going to school every day and sitting on a dirty, icky carpet while learning?

Well, I'm hoping that my students won't have to do this for long. Through your help, we can receive this great, new vacuum that will keep our carpet clean throughout the rest of the school year and beyond.

We also need yellow Post Its. The Post Its help when writing comments on their work. They work so hard each day, I don't want to write directly on their work, so I use these Post Its. Please help us receive more. Thank you!
