What Does It Take to Stay Healthy in my Classroom?
My students need to stay healthy from colds and flu. The products that I ordered will keep my classroom sanitized as much as possible.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The faces of the New York City classroom consists of students from Bangladesh, Yemen, Iran, Dominican Republic, Mexico and many other places to say the least. This is what my two classes of 6th graders looks like. They have come to America for quality education and to escape unspeakable violence in some of there countries . Many of them speak very little English but are eager to learn speaks volumes. The photo is student created and won a prize for respect for all week. The students expressed themselves by identifying what respect means to them.
I've grown as an educator because of these students.
It's wonderful watching them progress in a country that offers them something more than their native home countries.
My Project
Today’s classrooms are a breeding ground for colds, allergies and viruses. What does it take to keep my students free from all of the above? A clean classroom environment! I’ve noticed that every day that my classroom is sprayed with Lysol disinfectant spray and having the students clean the desk with Clorox wipes, the number of students who caught colds and were absent from school decreased. Having a supply of tissues and handsanitizer keeps the germs at bay. With over 4 six grade classes on a daily basis, head colds, allergies, etc. continue to increase. Using the products that I listed truly helps keep the classroom environment healthy.
When a classroom is clean, it encourages learning!
When students are healthy, it enhances their education!
Keeping the desks clean with the Clorox wipes, using the allergen free Lysol spray, having plenty of tissues, paper towels, and hand sanitizers are essential items.
What better way to invite education within a classroom, then it's overall clean and sanitized environment.
