My students need a variety of incentives and rewards to motivate them while learning pre-reading and writing skills. WE need markers, incentive chart, incentive pads and more.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at an amazing Title I school where 85% of our students come from a low socioeconomic status. Most of the families I serve have working parents with little or no education. Comprised of mostly minorities, our school has a spirit of unity that shines through. We are a large family nearing 1,000 students. The passion for learning is felt when you walk through the doors. I work with children with special needs in grades K through 5th. My students are loving and kind and have real determination. I strive to teach them the skills they need to be active participants in our community.

Sticker charts & stickers are magical tools that I use to motivate my students.
My students will use the dry erase markers and plastic sleeves to develop writing skills. My students will learn the alphabet, and practice building their names with the magnetic letters. We will use the alphabet Unifix cubes for letter recognition activities. The sentence strips will help us with developing handwriting practice. Ring pops, cookies and popcorn are some of our favorite snacks to work for! The velcro dots will come in handy for independent work stations.
