Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My School is an elementary school located in the Morrisania section of the Bronx, New York and we serve an average of 600 students in grades K-5. My students strive to be the best they could while fighting poverty and diversity. They are also starting to learn about computers and the opportunities that can come from this area. My students love to come to the library where they can have media class. These students are always looking forward to learn something new about computers or even to learn the computer's basic functions. Many times my students and I get lost when we are creating a PowerPoint presentation or using Paint to create a Masterpiece for their poem, their homeroom teacher comes in the room and waiting for us to finish and we didn't noticed them standing there. My students loves to spend time creating and learning new things.
My Project
Students will be using the headphones to take their online exams that will automatically provides individualized online and teacher-led instruction targeted to each student’s unique needs. In which it will empowered to reach their highest potential and to develop the essential academic and life skills needed for achieving success in the 21st Century. They will also use these headphones when they learn about computer science and computer information by creating their own code or presentation. Our school believes in preparing our students for college and career through learning opportunities and authentic tasks that require students to take ownership of, and monitor, their own learning as we foster greater independence.
