Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With these new books and materials, my students will start the new school year self-reflecting on who they are and who they can become. Starting the school year with these new books will promote social, emotional, and academic skills and a learning environment that is emotionally supportive, culturally responsive, and focused on building relationships and community.
Supporting students in their social-emotional learning cultivates a classroom of trust and understanding.
My goal is to help students build self-confidence, embrace differences and build empathy These new books and materials can assist them in sorting out their feelings and exploring who they are and who they would like to be.
