Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are endlessly curious and always ready to explore new ideas. They bring energy, creativity, and a desire to learn into our classroom every day. What makes them truly special is their ability to find wonder in the world around them, whether through hands-on experiments or imaginative exploration.
The desk plasma ball lights will bring science to life for our students, sparking their curiosity about concepts like electricity, energy transfer, and circuits.
These interactive lights will serve as a tangible and exciting way to explore scientific principles. By observing and interacting with the plasma balls, students can visualize how electricity flows, leading to a deeper understanding of abstract concepts they often encounter in science lessons.
Our goal for this project is to provide a learning experience that connects science to real-world applications in a fun and engaging way. The plasma balls will also encourage critical thinking and questions like, "How does this work?" and "What causes the patterns in the light?" These questions are the foundation of inquiry-based learning and will help our students develop problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Each of our students is unique, bringing their own perspectives and talents to the classroom. They thrive when given opportunities to explore, experiment, and collaborate, and they light up when they see science in action. The plasma ball lights will not only brighten their desks but also ignite their passion for discovery, making every lesson a memorable experience.
