Help me give my students a color printer so they can learn how colorful life is. With a color printer, I will be able to print colorful and engaging materials to grab my students' attention.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are curious 3, 4, and 5 year olds who come from low-income households. The preschool program gives at-risk children an opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and friendly environment.
They come to school everyday excited and ready to learn, discover, and explore with their friends!
They love to read books, build structures, draw pictures, pretend play, and build their gross and fine motor skills throughout the day. They beam with happiness when they learn a new skill. They love to come to school everyday and learn!
My Project
This color printer and ink supply will allow not only myself but my partnering teacher print colorful and engaging materials. These materials will be used during whole group and small group instruction, centers, and as anchor charts. It will help students learn to identify colors and see the difference between objects, animals, etc. It will also help create individualized picture schedules and cue cards to help students with self regulation, emotions, and social issues.
A color printer will allow my partnering teacher and myself show our students how colorful the world truly is.
Without a colored printer, we are forced to print our materials using a black and white copier. 3-5 year olds need to have eye checking materials to grab their attention and keep it long enough to learn and grow.
