Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a variety of students. I have an AVID class that we are preparing to enter college despite obstacles that this demographic experiences.
My Financial Algebra students are struggling with some concepts of math but are eager to learn about finances and how to manage their money.
My AP Computer Science students are pushing themselves out of their comfort zone in order to learn more about the industry that seems to be the way of the future.
My Project
Children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to slide and choose seating options. If students are moving in the classroom this helps increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, choosing and moving, helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
The flexible seating allows for ease of group work
Using these tables will allow in diversification of instruction for the betterment of my students. With the subjects I teach it is important to have the flexibility to work in groups or individually. These tables set up the classroom in a way that make it easy to support various instructional strategies.
