This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Because cheerleading involves physical activity and fitness, including strength, flexibility, and coordination, our Cheer Squad will begin training for the upcoming season this summer. These items will assist us in training sessions over the summer.
We will also be attending cheer clinics to enhance our skills.
When attending cheer clinics and practices it is important for all members to dress the same. It promotes a sense of unity and identity among the cheerleading squad. It also promotes school spirit. Some of the items will also help us during the cheer season. During practices we practice dance routines, so a speaker is needed. We also have a lot of items (mascot, water, food) to carry to clinics and games; therefore, a wagon would be beneficial. Lastly, we recognize our 8th graders by gifting them with special sashes to wear at football games.
