My Students

I am blessed to teach third grade at a wonderful Title I School in Northeast North Carolina. Our students are active and hard working. Although my school is designated as having a high percentage of children from low-income families, our students are easily motivated, loving and care about their success!

Our students get excited, work harder and stay more engaged when the arts are integrated into their academic curriculum.

Our students come from various backgrounds and cultures. They are each unique and have a way about winning my heart with their kindness and thoughtfulness. They have truly become my family!

My Project

Our school will use these materials once a semester in a program called We've Got Talent. Students will be given opportunities to participate in and share through piano playing, singing, dancing, painting and various art forms throughout the semester and will use these materials to showcase their work to their peers and parents. The electronic portable keyboard and headphones will allow students to practice in any classroom throughout the day without disturbing their teacher or peers. The karaoke microphone will be used for students to sharing their singing abilities, and the portable art display panels will be used to display student artwork.

We've Got Talent will be a great way to engage students in pursuing and sharing their artistic talents and interests in a fun and exciting way!

These materials will help to ensure a successful event for our families and students. Thank you for helping us be able to integrate performing arts into our 2018-19 school year. We know our students and parents both will cherish the memory this program will provide to them.
