Kindergarteners love music and movement! It is so important that they learn to love school and experience learning in a fun and exciting way!

What better way to teach music and math to Kindergarteners than by using rhythm sticks and drums! In math, the rhythm sticks and drums can be used to teach patterns and counting. In music, the children will be able to play the instruments and move or verbalize to demonstrate awareness of beat, tempo, dynamics, and melodic direction. Implementing California State Standard 2.3 in music (creative expression) becomes fun and easy! Besides learning movement and math, following directions can be made more exciting for them as they listen to a beat/pattern and attempt to repeat that pattern back.

These rhythm sticks and drums are just what we need in kindergarten to help make math, music, and following directions fun and exciting in a new way1
