Hello! I am looking to get a classroom mailbox, desk organizer and storage baskets in my room to make our daily routines smoother and faster. I would love to have the mailbox as a way for each student to have their own space for their papers and folders. Having their own space will allow the students to put all of their work straight into their mail slot; at the end of the day, it is easy for them to grab all of their papers from their slot and put them right into their folder!
I can also add a class job (which the students LOVE getting to do) that can help put necessary take-home papers into the mailbox, sort work, and help ensure that everyone has all of their things from their mailbox!
The multi-tiered mesh trays will sit next to the mailbox; I will put papers in the tray, and the student helper will be able to easily grab and sort them! It will also help me sort student work and papers into the different trays for things to go home on different days of the week, since they have 5 trays each!
The multi-colored baskets will be helpful for students turning in their work. The different colors will allow them to sort their own work when turning things in by aligning the colors to a subject. I can have multiple turn in bins placed for students to easily turn work in! This way, less time is wasted shuffling through papers or waiting in line to turn something in.
While this may not be the most exciting project, it is one that I am positive will make our classroom run more efficiently and effectively during morning routine, transitions, and pack up, which will ultimately save time during our day for instruction!
