WEStie Besties, A Friendship Club

My Project

Everyone needs a friend. Students with exceptional needs and their neurotypical peers do not have enough opportunities to create meaningful, organic, lifelong friendships. Our friendship club will provide students a safe and nurturing environment that promotes inclusion to its highest degree.

The requested supplies will provide new opportunities that both students with disabilities can participate in along side their neurotypical peers.

The materials include inclusive games and PE equipment that are accessible to all of our participants regardless of their age and abilities.

We will integrate art, social emotional learning activities, science, PE, cooking, and mentorship to our participants with a variety of abilities.
