This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative and very eager to learn, but due to lack of funds we are unable to have all the supplies that would enrich their musical abilities, Physical education and computer skills. We are in a Title One school located in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. The students come to Resource classes wanting to know more and do more each time we meet. We see Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grades once a week for 40 minutes. Our students love to be engaged through various activities.
My Project
The Chorus students at Butler enjoy performing, and nothing makes a performance better than everyone looking and sounding as one. Since my students come from a low income it can be difficult to get all the students dressed appropriately and look their best for each and every performance.
My students are in need to Green Polo shirts and for the girls Khaki shirts of various sizes.
This donation will benefit my 40 member chorus students. The uniforms will be returned after each performance, cleaned and stored in the music room. I am grateful for this generous opportunity which will allow my students a no hassle and worry free uniform expectation.
