As a first year teacher and this being my first class as a teacher, I would truly appreciate the help for my DonorsChoose project to be funded in order to give my class amazing promotion farewell gifts. As they are moving up from Pre-K to Kindergarten, I wanted to make sure that I gave my class special gifts, so that they will always remember their time in Pre-K. These specific items that I am requesting will make a difference in their learning by always remembering what I; as teacher has instilled in them to continue to moving on up throughout their years in school. "Oh the Places You'll Go," by Dr. Seuss will always be a clear indicator that will give my students the courage they will always need in order for them to never give up on their dreams.
My children are truly the future and I have taught them well to lead the way for years to come.
My goals for this project is to be able to bless my children with their promotion gifts and be able to reward them for their hard work and accomplishing so many of their goals throughout this school year. Many of my children came in not knowing much and some not even being able to speak English to communicate with me. I am proud to stand here and say that my kids are leaving knowing how to write their names, being able to identifying their letters and numbers, and many of my Spanish speaking kids are able to speak English. I am so proud of all my students and these gifts will give them just small courage they need to continue with their growth; as well as an award for completing their Pre-K year successfully.
