My classroom is a busy place where 3-5 year olds come to learn, play and explore! I have the best job in the world because I get to teach kids how to have fun while learning in their very first classroom experience!
My school is located in a low income/high poverty area with a diverse population, and all students are eligible for free and reduced meals.
I want to give these eager young students a positive, creative, stress-free learning environment. I strive to help give them a chance to express their thoughts and feelings in a secure environment.

My Project
My students need materials to explore in various dramatic play centers we hope to make in our classroom. The kids have shown interest in building a farmers market/grocery store, pizza restaurant, bakery, ice cream shop, and sandwich shop.
Research has shown that dramatic play helps young children with oral language development, gross motor and fine motor development, social/emotional skills, literacy, math, problem solving, and cognitive development.
Your generous donation can make our preschool classroom come alive with realistic play encounters! Gifting the students with materials to help them engage in learning through role play will ultimately help improve academic success and motivation. It's so important at an early age for students to love school and to love learning! You will be giving the opportunity for creative thinking and problem solving that will continue to develop throughout the school year and beyond.
