Mrs. Mason from Fort Washington MD is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 30 practice books for cursive handwriting. Each student would greatly benefit from one book and it would save copy/ writing workshop paper.

The beginning of the day always begins with a smile and a choral "Good Morning!" Everyday we are building on previously taught skills and expanding our knowledge. Handwriting is a big deal for second graders, and my students are always ecstatic when they can practice their "fancy writing."
I have a very diverse group of learners.
They have different ability levels but are all capable of awesome things. Each student brings a strength with them that aids in the collaborative environment of the classroom. We all work together, respect each other, and help one another.
Using these books will make the cursive writing process that much more interesting. It will be a log of progress they can keep and something to hold on to as a keepsake for the future. Each day, students will be given time to practice and become cursive writing novices.
Resources can be limited for a teacher.
There is a curriculum for handwriting, but no supplies given. My students have a ton of notebooks already for other subjects, including writers workshop. I feel that this will be a new and exciting material that will help improve their skills.
