Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from hardworking families and diverse backgrounds. They are primarily bilingual both at home and in school. Most of our students live in apartments and some live in shelters and transitional housing. They are bright, inquisitive, and a joy in the classroom. They are full of questions and their wonder of the topics in class is inspiring.
My Project
We are in need of practice amplifiers and instrument cables. The portable practice amps will allow our students to take them home to practice. The ability to practice at home will help with personal growth and improve their technique. The class as a whole will see faster results and this will allow the class to learn more repertoire. Our students are working with electric guitars and basses and require instrument cables. If our project is fully funded we will be able to send students home with portable materials that will help them practice.
