This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are in dire need of books for our book vending machine. The children receive a gold coin every time they show progress on their reading skills assessment and exchange the coin for a book from the books vending machine. This practice has been successful as many of the students in every class have moved up a reading level. The challenge is the lack of books to restock the book vending machine as books are flying off the shelves. Students devour the books so quickly and want more.

Please help us bring more books to our students so they can continue on their journey to literacy.
