We're Getting Comfortable in our Elementary School Library!

My Students

I am the district librarian in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges they face, I am looking to help them compete with other students in our state.

I work very hard to give my students a great reading environment.

We have a beautiful elementary school library. I would love to provide my students with comfortable seating in this library. Wouldn't it be lovely to have our student read in comfortable seating?

My Project

We have a beautiful Elementary School Library! Our seating, however, is very formal. We have small wooden upright chairs. Many of my students like to sit comfortably so they opt to sit on the floor. I would like to give them comfortable seating. Students have asked if we can get bean bag chairs to sit on. I know they will be happy to have a place to sit and read. These bean bag chairs will accommodate all grade levels from kindergarten thru grade 6. Even the teachers can use them! I will also use these chairs during our book club!
