My project needs 9 circuit kits for my Physics class.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. t.'s classroom raised $580

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This student-centered classroom engages students in scientific inquiry. This is the first Physics class (and senior class) at our school, so supplies are limited. We are a charter school that is about to graduate our first senior class. We serve the most populated community and one of the poorest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Our mission is to prepare these kids for college and to send 100% of our students to college.
Starting up a Physics program from scratch has been a challenge because many basic supplies are lacking. The budget does not even cover all the basic equipment needed. I have constantly found myself in the position of wanting to do things, but not having the equipment to do it.
We will be doing a project where students will work with Habitat for Humanity to build a green house. They will apply what they learned in Physics to help design their Eco-friendly house. We currently have no materials to teach electricity and magnetism. Having circuit kits for each group will help them learn about circuits and apply it to their Habitat for Humanity house.
Your support will make it possible for these kids to be college ready, college bound, and social agents of change. The circuit boards will not only prepare them for college, but will give them the knowledge they need to work with Habitat for Humanity.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
