How could students strengthen writing skills when there are limited resources? That is the challenge facing my students every day during writing. Having multipurpose paper and ink will help my students print out their writing assignments, essays, poems, and narrative texts.
I teach special education 5th grade students in New York City.
It is not uncommon for teachers in my school to see students in need of more paper and ink throughout the school year. Printer ink and paper are basic necessities that need to be replenished constantly. This project will allow my students to have writing paper and plenty of ink to develop their writing skills, takes notes, complete class activities, and print out their essays for the rest of the school year.
My Project
I am requesting packs of multipurpose paper and ink to last the remainder of the school year. The cartons of multipurpose paper and ink will allow me to be able to provide my students with copies they may need and paper to print out their work from the class computer. These are some of the basic necessities that many of my students need to have in school. I would like to put these worries aside for my students so they can finish the school year focused knowing that their needs are met.
I tried to make sure I had enough ink and writing paper to last throughout the school year, but sadly our supply is near its end.
I do not want my students to worry about not being able to complete an assignment or turn in a persuasive text because we ran out of ink. I rather my students focus on learning and striving for academic success.
