I teach at a highly diverse school that implements a full inclusion philosophy. This makes it a truly special and unique community where we continuously strive to develop our knowledge and skill set to meet the ever changing needs of our students. I work side by side with my colleagues to develop engaging lessons that reflect our students' strengths and background.
Watching my students as they grow, open up to new ideas, and have those "light bulb" moments is truly a joy.
Especially when, in those "lightbulb" moments, students are so eager to share their learning and insights with their friends.
In truth, I feel that I gain much more from my students than they gain from me.
This is why I am asking for your help in purchasing an interactive smart board for my students. I have worked diligently to create so many amazing visual, tactile and kinesthetic learning experiences using computer software throughout the years. These activities all have the capability of being interactive. The only problem is that students aren't getting the full experience of interacting with activities because we do not have the technology to give them that hands-on experience.
This is where you come in! With your help toward purchasing an interactive smart board, our students will be able to take part in these learning experiences throughout the day. An interactive whiteboard will allow our students to be creative, independent and empowered.
