My Students

We're all ears! My students would learn more with multimedia literacy experiences.

My first graders come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic situations.

They are all eager to learn! All of my students learn in different ways. This project will help me meet those varying needs! Our school is an innovative public charter school in California.

My Project

Help feed our hunger for books! My students are absorbing the words and books around them like sponges. A listening center would turn reading into a multimedia experience for my students. English language learners and struggling students would especially benefit from another varied learning modality. My students would use the listening center as a literacy center to listen to books on CD to promote fluency. My students need a listening center with audio storage rack for various audio literacy activities.

Our grade level was gifted with hundreds of books on tapes and CDs by a retiring teacher.

Unfortunately, my class does not have a listening center to utilize these amazing resources. Your support will allow us to begin using the audio components of these resources. For many students, hearing the words while tracking them in a book will make all the difference. Thank you!
