My Project

This project will help me create an audiobook listening station for middle and high school special education students. Many of my students struggle with basic reading skills. This project will make young adult titles accessible to them during independent reading time.

Students will be able to choose a novel on the tablet, then sit back and enjoy the book in audio format.

We will be using Amazon audible and our local library’s Libby app to provide high-interest fiction and non-fiction books.

My goal is for every student to find a book they can enjoy. For many struggling readers, audiobooks are the best way for them to become immersed in a story. If a student can enjoy just one book, they are more likely to become a lifelong reader. This audiobook station will help open that door for my students.
