The tablet we purchased gives students access to Amazon Audible and our local library's digital services to download audiobooks. Many of my students are struggling or reluctant readers, and audiobooks are a great way for them to experience stories. \r\n\r\nOur audiobook listening station has a comfortable chair by the window where students can choose a pair of headphones. We dedicate class time each day to independent reading, and at least one student each period uses the tablet for listening.
