Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These toys, books and fidget gadgets will be used by our mental health team at our week ll "Wellness Wednesday".

This is where we go either around campus or our home base of the Wellness Center and engage students in wellness related activities or just have fun with them.

Sometimes this has meant playing kickball, jump rope, or just chatting with students about our services. The fidget toys and stickers will be used as giveaways for these outreach days. The other items will be used to expand our activities and make sure students have a positive experience with our staff.

In particular we are hoping to engage incoming 9th graders. Our plan is to build positive relationships so we can better serve them in times of crisis.
