This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students show up every day—despite stress, responsibilities, and personal challenges—and still try to succeed. They are resilient, creative, and full of potential. Many of them juggle academics with part-time jobs, caregiving roles, and social pressures. Sometimes, they just need a small reminder that someone cares.
These kits will include clear toiletry bags filled with essentials like hand sanitizer, pimple patches, lip balm, gum, snacks, hydration powders, Emergen-C, instant coffee, scrunchies, safety pins, and earplugs.
I’m also including pens, sticky notes, and tea for organization and comfort—everything they need to feel seen, supported, and ready to take on their day. These will be given to my homeroom students at the beginning of the year to help build relationships for Wellness Wednesdays and Advisory.
This project provides self-care kits that support students’ physical and emotional well-being. Items like hydration packs, snacks, and Emergen-C help them stay energized and healthy. Lip balm, pimple patches, and scrunchies offer comfort and confidence. Pens, sticky notes, and clear bags support organization, while tea and earplugs give them tools to manage stress and focus. These thoughtful, practical supplies can make a huge difference in how they show up—not just to school, but for themselves.
