My Project

My class participants will learn activities to support Social Emotional Learning. They will have opportunities to learn various ways to stay healthy. My participants will learn the following: cooking healthy meals, watercolor, canvas painting, soap making, jewelry making, yoga, Japanese dance, decorating cookies, pickleball, making pressed flower lanterns, creating chocolate desserts. Following the classes, each participant will receive a motivational cup as a reminder that our wellbeing is important.

The main goal for this project is to improve wellbeing and to have it transferred to the entire school community.

In addition, some of the instructors will be from businesses & organizations in our community, and a secondary goal, is to network with community members to build partnerships. Lastly, participants will receive an opportunity to meet one another and build friendships within the school community.

My class participants work very hard each day to make a difference in the lives of our students. In a school community, it is integral that all stakeholders work to keep a healthy mind, body, and soul, and continue to be lifelong learners.
