This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love coming to counseling and participating in teen discussions with their peers. Right now, we have an empty room that is being designed for counseling and career advisement. The space needs to be more inviting and organized. Part of my services is conducting restorative counseling circles to address conflict. I want everyone to have a welcoming environment that is conductive to mental healing.
This office furniture will facilitate conversations while making everyone feel special.
Students need a place that serves as a place they feel nurtured and protected. I want to create an environment that is inclusive and inviting.
