This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These items will help me support many high school students who are struggling with social and emotional mental health. The items on the wish list, including the fidgets and paint markers, are items that will help those who are experiencing anxiety. One way that helps them cope is through utilizing a sensory item, painting, or coloring. The goal for this project is to be able to support these students when they need a break, someone to speak with, or simply need a safe space. These items, such as books, can help the teens navigate their own emotions.
