This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from all over the world. Most of them are English Language Learners. In many cases, their parents do not speak English at all. Today's world is a very difficult place to live. Teaching is challenging. Kids can't learn when they are not feeling well.
Present circumstances made teaching and learning more challenging than ever.
Many of my students and their families are struggling. I work closely with our teachers and our Parent Coordinator to provide mental health support during these difficult times.
My Project
When a child comes to school stressed, sad, nervous, and hungry, this child is not going to learn a lot. Most students are being challenged by today's world circumstances.
Most of my students' families are going through very difficult times.
Parents, grandparents, stepparents, etc. are facing situations that can be very difficult to deal with. My students often feel the stress and do not want to burden their families. I have to make sure that I can support my students, feed their bodies with nutrition, and feed their souls with positive attitudes and hope.
I want to give my students the support they need.
I hope I will be able to make a change and reach out to all those in need. With your help, we can support students and their families.
