My Students

My students continue to inspire me by persevering and doing their very best. They work hard daily and know that growth is much more important than being perfect!

Our students come from a variety of rural subdivisions and neighborhoods in the lower Puna district on the island of Hawaiʻi.

There is a strong sense of community and family in this area and our students learn in safe and encouraging classroom environments.

Any and all kōkua (help) is greatly appreciated in ensuring students continue to be supported by our community!

My Project

This school year, our students will be returning to campus for full in-person learning. Many items that are being requested will be used to help students transition back to some sort of normalcy in the school buildings including building bricks, outdoor recess materials, an Apple iPad and Pencil, and general consumable items like card stock, materials for displaying and storing work, and more.

I want students to be able to come back to school excited and invigorated by tools they will be able to use as we transition back into classrooms for full in person learning after more than a year and a half of distance or hybrid learning models.

Students and teachers will be using the Apple iPad to share highlights of work with their families via Seesaw. There are also a variety of outdoor recess tools that are being requested to encourage collaboration and teamwork while still maintaining safe distancing.
