This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Being new to a school is difficult for students. Being new to a country and not knowing the language is also very challenging. We have had an influx in newcomers registering at our school. We want them to feel comfortable and welcome when they arrive. We also want to ensure they have the basics.

We want to provide all Newcomer students to our building with a welcome back full of basic hygience items and school supplies so they are ready to start their academic journey with us!

Having deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, shampoo and body wash, and school supplies will give our Newcomer students and their families one less thing to worry about.
