My Students

These elementary students are among the most diverse in the nation. At our school alone, there are 83 languages and dialects spoken. They live in one of the highest crime areas and in some of the highest poverty levels with 78% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch in an urban district.

These children are eager to learn and be 21st-century ready leaders to become lifelong learners.

These students could use a variety of materials to assist them in filling the learning gaps of our lowest Title I learners and English Language students along with opportunities to challenge our Gifted and Talented students.

My Project

Students have requested to have a welcoming cart where they will get to see science materials and store homework folders, and share work they have done. They will get to have nameplates and pens to compose work to be laminated.

Students have asked for a mobile display cart to display their work to share with their community.

When not sharing work it will be used to store homework folders and be used for an exploration station with laminated cards and physical natural objects, starting with plants and succulents, and fractured fairy tales.
