Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My media center is open to all students, those who require books, technology, other resources, and those who are seeking a quiet and calm space.

High school can be a difficult and stressful time for students and through this project I hope to make the media center a place where students can engage in activities that are fun but also promote a sense of mental relaxation.

With these materials students will be able to color in adult coloring books designed to reduce anxiety, create calming origami projects, build with Legos and K'NEX to redirect the mind, and play simple games like checkers to relieve stress. It is my hope the students will find the media center a friendly and safe place to visit whenever they need.
