My Project
I teach at a Tier 1 public charter school in Washington, D.C., serving predominantly Black students who deserve a science classroom that’s fun, engaging, and empowering. This year, I’m transforming my classroom into a Hunger Games–inspired learning experience where students work in “District Teams” to complete labs, earn points, and compete in science challenges.
These materials will help bring that vision to life.
From anatomy models to DNA kits and lab supplies, every item will support hands-on learning, collaboration, and critical thinking. This project will make science memorable, culturally relevant, and something students look forward to every day.
