Welcome To Our Classroom Potato Head

Help me give my students the joy of playing with potato head and play dough in order to develop emotional literacy and fine motor skills.

My Project

The Potato Head toys will be featured in a variety of centers in our classroom.

Potato Head will have a big role in developing two important preschool skills - emotional literacy and fine motor.

One of our first topics introduced during the beginning of the year is emotional literacy. With the potato head toy, students will be able to connect vocabulary they learned about emotions to play.

In our discovery center, students can connect the potato head toy to our five senes unit. Students will be able to use language to talk about different body parts.

Play dough is a popular activity in our sensory center. It is a relaxing and creative space for my students. Play dough is such a great tool to help develop fine motor skills for students. Even the potato head toys can be used as loose parts in the sensory center.
