This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school serves underrepresented students in East Las Vegas. Most of my students are from minority backgrounds and low socioeconomic status. Over 50% of our students are African American or Latinx and 100% receive free or reduced meals. This year, I want my students to feel excited and eager to start a new school year, removing any educational barriers they might encounter.
My goal is for these students to feel welcomed, secured and academically challenged by entering a warm and inviting environment.
The supplies listed include positive motivational quotes, welcome signs, classroom calendar, bulletin borders and classroom decorations.
By donating to this project, my students will have a better opportunity to learn, thrive and ultimately help increase their academic success.
