My Project

This project is to welcome all our new 6th graders to Aspen Creek Middle Level (We are a PK-8 but get students from other feeder schools and we want to include everyone).

We chose the book, Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus because it a book of interest to many levels of readers and our students have found it funny and engaging.

We include cards with advice from current 6th graders and 7th graders to help the transition from elementary to Middle level go well. The 6th and 7th-grade teachers refer back to the book throughout their first few years as a way to reach all students.
