Help me give my students the tools necessary to be successful learners. In Kindergarten we are continuously moving throughout the classroom. The Learning Center will allow me to easily move about the classroom to encourage participation and engagement!

My Students
I am the proud teacher to a group of 31 bright, creative and fun loving Kindergarteners! Each student in my classroom brings a different perspective and eagerness to learn. All my littles come from a variety of backgrounds, each a unique piece to complete our classroom family. They enjoy learning from their teacher and from one another. They light up knowing they each have something to offer and can contribute to making our Kindergarten year a successful and memorable one!
One of the most rewarding and challenging parts of Kindergarten is the varying abilities of each student when they enter our classroom.
Unfortunately, being so young, a lot of my students weren't given the opportunity to learn from their peers in social settings through conversation and play due to the pandemic. This has created an even larger divide in my students social emotional and academic well being.
I'm continuously looking for new ways/materials to reach the whole child and ensure that my students leave me as independent, compassionate, confident life long learners!
My Project
The books I've chosen will help all of my students in the classroom! They are leveled to ensure I am differentiating for all my littles. These books will allow my students to work on comprehension, phonemic awareness/phonics skills, high frequency words, develop voice in their reading and SO MUCH MORE!
Kindergarten is the prime opportunity to instill the love of reading!
These books will allow my students a variety of stories to enhance their love of reading while simultaneously building confidence in becoming independent readers.
The anchor chart will be used all day, every day. It will allow me to move throughout the classroom and gives the students an opportunity to better engage in our learning throughout the day! All my students will have moments where they are the teacher, using the anchor chart as their learning tool! This is where all students will get practice with their reading and writing in whole group and small group settings.
