it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello, I'm a 5th grade teacher in a low income high need school community. Myself along with a coworker and several students are creating a care closet for the community from scratch. The students created this vision of what they would like the care closet to look like and I am trying to help them bring their vision to life. We are trying to create an inviting atmosphere where families will feel welcome to come and gather basic essentials that they need to grow and prosper as a family.
These families deserve to feel welcome in our school community.
I am asking for an area rug for our community care closet and two welcome rugs. We are trying to create an atmosphere that mimics a store type vibe where families can feel welcomed in a warm and inviting environment to come and "shop" for their basic family needs. Please help these students make their vision become a reality.
